The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT PROCESS FOR PREPARING NANOSIZED HEXAGONAL Ba3ZnNb2O9 TRIPLE PEROVSKITE AND PHOTOCATALYTIC DEGRADATION THEREOF A process for preparing nanosized hexagonal Ba3ZnNb2O9 triple perovskite (100) is provided. The process comprises providing an aqueous citric acid solution (10), adjusting the citric acid solution (10) to a substantially neutral pH prior to addition of any metal precursor, adding a water-soluble niobium precursor (20) to the neutralized citric acid solution (10), thereafter adding a water-soluble zinc precursor (30) to the solution, adding a polyol (40) to the resulting solution, thereafter adding a water-soluble barium precursor (50) as the last-added metal precursor, heating the solution under stirring to effect polyesterification and form a gel (60), drying the gel (60) to form a xerogel (70), and calcining the xerogel (70) to obtain the Ba3ZnNb2O9 perovskite (100) in hexagonal phase. A process for photocatalytic degradation of an aqueous pollutant (200) using the nanosized hexagonal Ba3ZnNb2O9 triple perovskite (100) is also provided. (FIG. 1)
