The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: A process for preparing metal octaborate tetrahydrate and fertilizer composition thereof for horticultural and agricultural crops is provided. The process includes synthesizing metal octaborate tetrahydrates (MOBTs) using metal octaborate tetrahydrate as a boron source and one or more divalent metal salts through a controlled aqueous ion-exchange process followed by crystallization and spray drying. The resulting compositions exhibit high water solubility, improved nutrient stability, enhanced foliar uptake, and efficient nutrient translocation within plant tissues. The composition promotes plant vigor, biomass accumulation, reproductive development, stress tolerance, crop yield, and produce quality. The process further incorporates reduced solvent consumption, recycling of mother liquor streams, and energy-efficient drying, making it environmentally sustainable and industrially scalable. The disclosure provides an effective micronutrient delivery system for improving nutrient use efficiency and sustainable agricultural productivity.
