Abstract: ABSTRACT PROCESS FOR PREPARING FLUPYRADIFURONE [0049] The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of flupyradifurone using 2,2- difluoroethyl triflate as a difluoroethylating reagent. The process can be performed as a two-pot, two-step process or as a one-pot, two-step telescoped process without isolation of the intermediate. The disclosed process provides simplified operation, reduced intermediate handling and purification requirements, and comparatively mild reaction conditions, making it suitable for economical and scalable preparation of flupyradifurone.
