Inventors include Ms. Priyanka Subhash Patil; and Dr. Nileema Suryakant Gore.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a process for preparing antifungal lipopeptides and their use in treating soil-borne fungal diseases of potato. The process comprises co- culturing a bacterial strain with a fungal pathogen in a liquid culture medium to produce a co-culture broth, separating cellular biomass to obtain a cell-free supernatant, precipitating the lipopeptides by acidification, recovering the precipitate, and purifying the recovered lipopeptides. The resulting purified lipopeptides are used for the biological control and treatment of potato fungal diseases, including dry rot, stem canker, and black scurf.
