Abstract: Process for Preparation of Regenerable Porous Biopolymeric Moisture Adsorption Granules The present invention discloses a regenerable biopolymeric moisture adsorption system comprising thermally activated bentonite in a concentration ranging from 50 to 70 percent by weight, activated carbonaceous adsorption phase in a concentration ranging from 10 to 25 percent by weight, chitosan-based capillary transport matrix in a concentration ranging from 5 to 15 percent by weight, gum acacia binder phase in a concentration ranging from 2 to 8 percent by weight, and a porosity modulating phase in a concentration ranging from 1 to 5 percent by weight, wherein the components are sequentially homogenized, granulated, and thermally stabilized to form hierarchically porous adsorption granules having particle size ranging from 0.5 to 3 mm and BET surface area ranging from 150 to 450 m²/g, wherein the granules exhibit moisture adsorption capacity ranging from 35 to 55 percent at approximately 75 percent relative humidity and regeneration efficiency ranging from 80 to 95 percent after thermal regeneration, thereby providing a biodegradable and industrially scalable moisture adsorption system with improved adsorption and regeneration performance relative to conventional silica gel.
