Abstract: The present invention relates to a standardized process for preparing Ready-to-Use (RTU) Mahua (Madhuca longifolia) flower powder suitable for food applications and rural entrepreneurship. The process comprises hygienic collection and grading of Mahua flowers, sanitization using a food-grade salt and turmeric solution, primary sun or solar drying, controlled hot-air drying at about 60°C until stable moisture content is achieved, pulverization into a fine powder, and vacuum packaging in moisture-proof containers. The process improves microbial safety, reduces post-harvest losses, enhances storage stability, and preserves the nutritional quality of Mahua flowers. The resulting RTU Mahua powder remains shelf-stable for about four to six months under ambient storage and can be used in preparation of traditional foods, bakery products, beverages, and other value-added formulations. The invention provides a low-cost, scalable technology suitable for tribal communities, women Self- Help Groups, Farmer Producer Organizations, and small-scale food processing enterprises.
