Particularly, the present disclosure relates to a process for manufacturing a lactide-containing composition comprising the steps of: providing co-oligomers derived from lactic acid and from 0.05 to 5.0 wt.% of 2,3-butanediol, and depolymerising the composition to form a lactide-containing composition.
