Abstract: Disclosed herein a fish protein and probiotic-based dietary supplement formulation, and a method for producing the same to enhance human gut health, nutritional status, and body growth. The formulation comprises 85 wt% fish protein powder derived from Labeo rohita and 15 wt% viable probiotic powder containing Lactobacillus rhamnosus. The method includes blending minced deboned Labeo rohita flesh with distilled water at a 1:1 weight-to-volume ratio under a hot water bath maintained at 85 °C for 60 minutes, centrifuging the resulting slurry to recover a protein-rich supernatant, and spray drying the supernatant to obtain fish protein powder. Lactobacillus rhamnosus cultured cells are suspended in phosphate-buffered saline, mixed with an aqueous solution containing 12.5 wt% protective agents, and spray dried to obtain viable probiotic powder. The powders are dry blended in predetermined proportions to produce a stable, nutritionally enriched dietary supplement exhibiting enhanced protein quality, probiotic viability, extended shelf life, and improved gastrointestinal health.
