Abstract: Abstract Disclosed is a privacy-preserving press safety monitor for a powered press workstation. The monitor comprises a press frame carrying a die bed and a movable tool, an image sensor facing a die-entry region, and a local processor coupled to the image sensor. The local processor converts captured frames into occupancy vectors. A stored safety-zone model defines a material zone and a hazardous boundary. A stroke controller receives the occupancy vectors and issues a stroke-enable signal only when clearance of the hazardous boundary is indicated. A blocking member is coupled with a drive path of the movable tool and is retained against tool movement when the stroke-enable signal is absent. The monitor allows local visual safety assessment while reducing ordinary transmission or retention of identifiable video footage during normal press operation.
