MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641076870 A) filed by Cvr College Of Engineering on June 22, 2026, for Privacy-Preserving Crime Prediction And Prevention Framework For Smart Cities.
Inventor includes Dr. T. Venkata Ramana.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The current advance indicates a Privacy-Preserving Crime Prediction and Prevention Framework for smart cities that is used to support authorities by recognizing all suspicious activities crime events at the initial stage. The system will check urban data such as CCTV video feeds, sensor data, and public reports and then process it with the help of data pre-processing to adjust data quality and protect the privacy. Then, a competent classical based on Artificial Intelligence approaches evaluates the processed data to detect and label unusual activity patterns. The system continuously observes the stages of activity and sends the data for inspection. When the risk level increases and goes beyond threshold there will be immediate response where alarms mitten and piloted to authorities over communication platforms. Well-organized smart city monitoring is the application of early crime prediction, to reduce the risk of harmful events and improve security efficiency and readiness.
