Abstract: The increasing discharge of industrial effluents has become a major environmental concern due to the presence of toxic dyes and other hazardous pollutants in wastewater. Among these contaminants, synthetic dyes are particularly problematic because of their persistence, complex chemical structures, and potential adverse effects on aquatic organisms and human health. Although several treatment techniques, including membrane filtration, chemical precipitation, and ion exchange, have been employed for wastewater purification, their practical application is often restricted by high costs and operational limitations. Consequently, the search for sustainable and economically viable alternatives has gained significant attention. In this study, Pristine Rice Husk Ash (PRhAsh), derived from agricultural biomass waste, was utilized as an environmentally friendly adsorbent for the removal of Crystal Violet (CV) dye from synthetic wastewater. The adsorbent was prepared by controlled pyrolysis of rice husk at 600 °C. The surface characteristics and morphology of the synthesized material were investigated using Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM). The FESEM images revealed the presence of a rough and highly porous surface, which is advantageous for adsorption processes due to the availability of numerous adsorption sites. The findings indicate that PRhAsh can serve as an effective, low-cost, and sustainable adsorbent for dye-contaminated wastewater treatment while simultaneously promoting the beneficial utilization of agricultural waste materials. The elimination effectiveness of the CV dye is 98.7% at 8 pH, 1000 mg of PRhAsh, 8 ppm of CV dye concentration, and 140 minutes of contact period.
