Abstract: The discharge of dye containing industrial effluents into aquatic environments has emerged as a serious environmental challenge due to the toxicity, persistence, and complex molecular structures of synthetic dyes. Tartarzine (TZ), a widely used anionic dye, poses significant risks to aquatic ecosystems and human health when released into wastewater without adequate treatment. Conventional wastewater treatment technologies, including membrane filtration, ion exchange, and chemical precipitation, are often associated with high operational costs and limited sustainability. Therefore, the development of low-cost, eco-friendly, and efficient adsorbents for wastewater remediation is of considerable interest. In the present study, Pristine Rice Husk Ash (PRHAsh), an agricultural biomass-derived material, was synthesized through the controlled pyrolysis of rice husk at 650 °C and evaluated as a sustainable adsorbent for the removal of TZ dye from synthetic wastewater. The surface morphology and structural characteristics of the prepared adsorbent were examined using Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM). FESEM analysis revealed a rough, irregular, and highly porous surface morphology, providing abundant active sites for dye adsorption. The developed PRHAsh demonstrated significant potential for the efficient removal of TZ from aqueous media. The findings highlight the feasibility of utilizing rice husk-derived ash as a cost-effective and environmentally sustainable adsorbent for wastewater treatment, while simultaneously promoting the value-added utilization of agricultural waste resources. The Tartarzine (TZ) dye shows a removal efficiency of 98.9% at 5 pH, 1000 mg of PRHAsh, 10 mg/L of TZ dye concentration, 160 minutes of contact time and with a removal efficiency of 98.9%.
