The print head holder (6) is designed to move the nozzle (7) about an axis (9) along an orbit which circulates the axis (9). The controller (4) is configured to control the transport device (5), the print head holder (6) and the print head (14) such that the nozzle (7) sprays the material (2) onto a region of the substrate (3) in a metered manner.
