Abstract: ABSTRACT PREVENTION OF BATTERY OVER DISCHARGE CONDITION AND A WAKE UP METHOD FOR BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM The present disclosure provides a system for managing power and preventing deep-discharge conditions in an electric vehicle. The system comprises a rechargeable energy storage system, a battery management system (BMS) with an integrated isolated DC-DC converter, a vehicle control unit (VCU), an on-board charger (OBC) with a second isolated DC-DC converter, and auxiliary electronic modules. The system is configured to monitor battery parameters and operational states, including under- voltage levels, contactor status, and low-voltage power availability. The system analyzes these parameters to identify conditions such as declining battery voltage, inhibited drive capability, and loss of BMS power during deep discharge. The system detects at least one critical condition, including a BMS shutdown at a third under- voltage level, a contactor disengagement event, or an insufficient low-voltage supply for vehicle controllers. Upon detecting such conditions, the OBC DC-DC converter powers the BMS microcontroller to enable internal wake-up.
