MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641103859 A) filed by Kalasalingam Academy Of Research And Education on August 28, 2026, for Pressure Monitored Orthopedic Traction Frame With Adjustable Patient Positioning Facility.

Inventors include Dr. S. Shasi Anand; and Dr. P. Jayakumar.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The titled invention discloses pressure monitored orthopedic traction frame with adjustable patient positioning facility. It is an integrated live pressure monitoring system for orthopedic patient into leg supporting foot resting pad (10). A pressure 10 sensor (11) is affixed to the foot resting pad (10), directly beneath the patient's suspended legs. This pressure sensor (11) continuously measures the force exerted by the patient's feet and transmits the data to a microcontroller interface (13). The system then displays the pressure level as a clear percentage value on an integrated LCD display (12). Using this method the physician can precisely adjust the foot resting 15 pad (10) position both in height and length-relative to the patient's foot and ankle, ensuring optimal comfort and alignment.
