MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641099929 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences on August 19, 2026, for Pressure Monitored Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization Tool With Integrated Biofeedback System.
Inventors include Vijayakumar J; Dr. Suji S; and Dr Ramya Mohan.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: This invention introduces a handheld soft tissue mobilization tool that can measure the pressure applied during therapy and give instant feedback to the therapist. The tool contains pressure sensors placed beneath the treatment surface, which detect how much force is being applied on the patient's tissue. The readings are processed by a microcontroller and shown to the user through a small display, lights, or vibration indicators. This makes treatment safer, more controlled, and more consistent. It also helps therapists avoid applying too much or too little pressure. The device is portable, rechargeable, and designed to feel similar to a traditional IASTM tool while providing modern biofeedback features
