Abstract: A pressure-actuated faucet adapter (100) includes an adapter housing (106) engageable with a faucet outlet (102) at an inlet end and presenting an actuation face at an outlet end, a deformable diaphragm (302) at the actuation face, a valve plunger (304) coupled to the deformable diaphragm (302), and a container engagement portion (104). A container pressed onto the container engagement portion (104) causes the deformable diaphragm (302) to displace the valve plunger (304) proportionally to permit water flow, and removal of the container returns the valve plunger (304) to the closed position to restrict water flow. A fluid-driven energy generation unit (202) powers a visual flow indication unit (204) at an intensity proportional to the flow rate. A liquid level sensing unit (206) switches the visual flow indication unit (204) to a warning illumination state upon liquid contact with electrically conductive sensing elements, alerting a user of an overflow condition.
