Abstract: The present invention discloses a process for production of spun yarn, handloom fabric, and nonwoven sheets using blend of Cayratia Trifolia L. fiber with viscose fibers, and resulting products thereof. For preparation of blended fiber, both Cayratia trifolia L. (CTL) fiber and viscose fiber are manually cleaned, measured using a weighing machine to form three different blend ratios i.e., CTL 10%/Viscose 90%, CTL 30% /Viscose 70% and CTL 50% /Viscose 50%, and are thoroughly mixed by hand to ensure uniform blending. The blended fibers are further processed using carding machine to create uniform web, this web sheet is used to develop hand-spun yarn using a spindle-based spinning technique. Further, the yarn is woven using handloom to form fabric and undergoes needle punching to form non-woven sheets.
