Abstract: ABSTRACT Preparation of an electrochemical aptasensor for on-spot detection of diclofenac sodium using AuNP-rGO nanocomposite The present invention describes an electrochemical aptasensor for ultra-sensitive quantification of diclofenac sodium. The sensor utilizes a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with GO. When current is passed through the GCE, GO gets electrochemically reduced which rGO is functionalized with AuNP. The sensor exploits the highly electroactive surface area of rGO alongside the excellent conductivity of AuNPs. A diclofenac-specific aptamer is immobilized onto the electrode surface modified with AuNP-rGO, for quantification of diclofenac sodium. The resulting aptasensor demonstrates exceptional analytical performance. The dynamic linear range was established from 0.1 – 0.8 nM, limit of detection (LOD) was calculated at 0.27 nM, and the limit of quantification (LOQ) was calculated at 0.83 nM. The aptasensor offers superior sensitivity and represents a highly robust strategy for the precise and on spot detection of diclofenac sodium. Fig. 1
