The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: [0053] A distributed traffic signal preemption system for emergency vehicles comprises an Onboard Emergency Vehicle Unit (EVU) and Roadside Edge Nodes (RENs) [FIG. 1]. Each REN includes acoustic, optical, and GNSS modules, and an Adaptive Confidence Fusion Engine. The system detects pre-triggers via acoustic and kinematic monitoring, conditionally activating the optical module for multi-modal confidence fusion [FIG. 2]. A fused confidence score, derived from acoustic, kinematic, optical, and peer-vehicle (V2V/V2A) inputs, authorizes preemption. The system predictively propagates estimated time of arrival (ETA) and heading to downstream RENs, enabling pre-staged green-phase transitions. Autonomous cancellation occurs if the vehicle deviates or telemetry lapses. Real-time GPS-based path clearance detection monitors civilian vehicle behavior [FIG. 3]. Telemetry is validated against plausibility bounds to prevent spoofing.
