MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641113875 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai on September 23, 2026, for Predictive Hyperhidrosis Detection Wearable System.

Inventors include Umesh K; Khushika Reddy; M Muralikrishnan; and Rishika Reddy.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A wearable hyperhidrosis prediction system (100) includes a ring body (102) having an inner surface (104) supporting a sensor array (112) comprising bio-impedance sensing electrodes (112-A), galvanic skin response electrodes (112-B), temperature sensing elements (112-C), and photoplethysmography sensing elements (112-D). An electronics printed circuit board (110) carries a processing unit (120) and memory (122), while the ring body (102) further houses a motion sensor (124), battery layer (108), and wireless communication unit (126). The processing unit (120) acquires multimodal physiological signals, reduces motion artefacts based on motion data, extracts and fuses physiological features, and generates a prediction output and prediction confidence score indicative of an impending hyperhidrosis episode prior to detectable sweating onset. Based on the prediction confidence score, the processing unit (120) determines a graduated alert level and generates a corresponding alert signal for transmission by the wireless communication unit (126) to an external device (118).
