Abstract: ABSTRACT PREDICTIVE CATHETER MIGRATION MONITORING SYSTEM WITH DIFFERENTIAL STATE-TRANSFER A monitoring system (100) for a catheter (420) comprises a sensor dressing (200) overlying an insertion site (410) and carrying a strain sensor (220), a pressure transducer (230a, 230b), and bioimpedance electrodes (240), and a controller unit (300) releasably engageable with the sensor dressing (200) and comprising an inertial sensor (320), a microcontroller (330), a non-volatile memory (340), and a wireless transceiver (350). The microcontroller (330) derives a patient-specific baseline range, classifies a strain deviation as transient or as a permanent displacement event according to whether the strain sensor (220) returns to a calibrated zero point once limb motion ceases, computes a rate-of-change metric, outputs a predictive warning on projected intersection of a failure threshold, and applies an offset on re-engagement with a replacement sensor dressing (200).
