Inventors include Dhaniya R D; Dr. Umamaheswari K M; Sudha R; Justin Jayaraj K; and Dr Rajesh S.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of a clinical decision support system based on artificial intelligence for predicting an optimal monotherapy anti-epileptic drug for females and babies using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The clinical decision support system will obtain multi-dimensional patient data which will include demographics, seizures features, EEG signals, neuro imaging, laboratory results, pregnancy condition, infant development parameters, drug history, and pharmacology data. The data obtained will then be preprocessed through normalization, feature extraction, and noise reduction. The preprocessed data will then be used by the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) which will learn complex clinical patterns and predict the best anti-epileptic drug. The clinical decision support system will also have a pharmacology knowledgebase and an explainable artificial intelligence module to provide confidence scores and explanations on treatment options. Regular model updating through anonymized clinical outcomes will improve the prediction accuracy of the clinical decision support system. FIG.1
