Abstract: Precision Instrument for AI-Calibrated Wrinkle Resistance Evaluation in Cotton Fabrics Post-Laundering This invention describes an AI-calibrated precision instrument for the objective evaluation of durable press (DP) ratings in cotton fabrics post-laundering. The system integrates three-dimensional wrinkle imaging, an artificial intelligence engine trained on industry-standard references, a climate-adaptive recovery chamber, an accelerated wear simulation platform, and a digital twin traceability framework. Wrinkle topography maps are generated through structured light or laser projection and analyzed via AI to assign calibrated wrinkle resistance scores, thereby eliminating observer subjectivity. The climate chamber subjects fabrics to controlled temperature, humidity, and ultraviolet exposure, while the wear simulation platform replicates long-term laundering, folding, pressing, and perspiration cycles in compressed timeframes. A digital wrinkle signature is archived for each specimen, ensuring batch-level traceability and inter-factory reproducibility. By unifying objective imaging, intelligent calibration, and environmental simulation, the invention establishes a reproducible, data-driven, and globally consistent methodology for wrinkle resistance benchmarking in cotton-based garments.
