Abstract: ABSTRACT: Precision Agriculture: Real Time IoT-based Soil Sensor Data Collection and Image based Techniques for Indicating Soil Health Index This invention presents a precision agriculture system for real-time soil health assessment using a portable IoT device, cloud logging workflow, and image-based texture analysis. The proposed model is a combination of a 7-in-1 RS485 soil sensor, ESP32 microcontroller, DHT22 sensor, OLED display, and rechargeable power module and soil image acquisition pipeline to compute a Soil Health Index (SHI) and classify the soil as healthy or unhealthy. The system measures important soil parameters such as soil temperature, moisture, electrical conductivity, nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium and pH. It also extracts GLCM features such as contrast, dissimilarity, homogeneity and energy from the soil images. The normalized sensing and image features are combined in a weighted fusion model to produce a single SHI score for decision support. Ultimately as a result, the proposed system provides the status of soil on behalf of soil index value. On very good soil indication, the healthy seed has seeded in it and thus, turn into increased the productivity of crops.
