Abstract: The present application relates to a PPDU-based communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: generating a PPDU and sending same, wherein an RU/MRU corresponding to the PPDU comprises a plurality of RUs, modulation modes in a plurality of MCSs corresponding to the plurality of RUs are different, and a frequency range corresponding to the RU/MRU is greater than 80 MHz. By means of the present application, a spectrum utilization rate can be increased. The present application is applied to a WLAN system using 802.11ax next-generation WiFi protocols such as 802.11be, WiFi 7 or EHT and 802.11 series protocols such as 802.11be next-generation, WiFi 8, UHR and WiFi AI, and is further applied to a WPAN system supporting a UWB, a sensing system, etc.
