Abstract: ABSTRACT POWER TRANSMISSION APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD A power transmission apparatus negotiates power with a power receiving apparatus in a negotiation phase, performs power transmission to the power receiving apparatus wirelessly in a power transfer phase after the negotiation phase, restricts the power transmission in a case where predetermined information is received from the power receiving apparatus in the power transfer phase, performs object detection during a period in which the power transmission is restricted, and receives, from the power receiving apparatus, information that represents the period in which the power transmission is restricted. When an object is not detected during the period in which the power transmission is restricted, the power transmission in the power transfer phase is restarted without going through the negotiation phase again after an end of the period in which the power transmission is restricted, and configuration information is received from the power receiving apparatus.
