Abstract: POWER RELATED RANDOM ACCESS OCCASION Example embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to power related random access occasion. A method includes receiving, from a second apparatus, at least one random access channel configuration indicating a plurality of random access occasions, the plurality of random access occasions comprising: one or more first random access occasions associated with a transmission power reduction value lower than or equal to a first threshold, and one or more second random access occasions associated with a transmission power reduction value higher than the first threshold; selecting a random access occasion from the plurality of random access occasions, according to the at least one random access channel configuration, based on at least one of: a transmission power headroom of the first apparatus, or a distance between the first apparatus and the second apparatus; and transmitting, to the second apparatus, a random access request on the selected random access occasion.
