A method includes receiving, from a second apparatus, at least one random access channel configuration at least indicating one or more starting points of one or more first random access occasions of a plurality of random access occasions, wherein the one or more first random access occasions are associated with a transmission power reduction value lower than or equal to a first threshold; and transmitting, to the second apparatus, a random access request on at least one first random access occasion of the one or more first random access occasions, based on the at least one random access channel configuration.
