Abstract: Power-line interference remains one of the most persistent sources of noise in electrophysiological recordings, particularly in EMG laboratory environments where microvolt-level bio-signals are highly susceptible to external electromagnetic disturbances. This work presents the design and evaluation of a dedicated Power-Line Noise Detector tailored for EMG laboratories, aimed at identifying, monitoring, and mitigating 50/60 Hz interference and its harmonics in real time. The proposed system continuously senses ambient power-line noise using high-impedance inputs and adaptive signal conditioning stages, ensuring minimal loading effects on ongoing recordings. Advanced filtering and spectral analysis techniques are employed to accurately quantify interference levels and distinguish power-line artifacts from genuine physiological activity. The detector provides visual and digital feedback, enabling researchers and clinicians to assess laboratory electromagnetic conditions prior to and during data acquisition. Experimental validation demonstrates that the system effectively detects fluctuations in power-line noise caused by grounding issues, nearby electrical equipment, and environmental changes. By offering an independent and low-cost solution for interference monitoring, the proposed detector enhances data quality, reduces post-processing requirements, and improves the reliability of EMG measurements. This work contributes a practical tool for neurophysiology and biomedical research laboratories, supporting cleaner signal acquisition and more accurate interpretation of electrophysiological data
