MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621054542 A) filed by Sage University on April 29, 2026, for Power Device And Method For Standby Power Detection And Disconnection.

Inventors include Ms. Sakshi Agrawal; Akriti Shrivastav; Dr. Lalji Prasad; and Aayush Patwa.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to a power device (100) for standby power detection and disconnection. The power device (100) comprises a plurality of sensing-switching channels (116), each sensing-switching channel (102) comprising a current sensor (106) electrically connected in-line with a corresponding power socket (108) to measure a real-time current value, and a relay (110) electrically interposed between the current sensor (106) and the corresponding power socket (108). A control circuit (104) receives the real-time current value on a dedicated input line per sensing-switching channel (102), compares the real-time current value against a predetermined standby current threshold on a per-channel basis in real-time, and transmits a switching signal on a dedicated output line per sensing-switching channel (102) to the relay (110) upon the real-time current value falling below the predetermined standby current threshold.
