MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511016382 A) filed by Sanskriti University on February 25, 2025, for Pot Changing Device For Plants.
Inventors include Dr. Pratap Singh; and Dr. Sanjay Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: A pot changing device for plants, comprises of a first platform 101 is positioned on ground surface for providing a stable base for device, a second platform 102 is installed perpendicularly to first platform 101, standing upright in a vertical direction, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit detects exact location and orientation of plant, a C-shaped extendable member 104, via a telescopically operated rod 105 for allowing it to grip and release plant pot, a telescopically operated gripper 107 allowing it to grasp and release soil, a robotic arm 108 for gripping a new pot of bigger diameter from a tray and positioning it in a cavity, an electronic valve 109 dispense soil from a chamber 110 and partially fill new pot, an electronic nozzle attached to a vessel stored with water arranged with second platform 102 to dispense water into new pot.
