Abstract: A postural support device for enhanced mobility comprises of, a base frame 101 configured with a backrest 102 positioned on a seating surface, a cushioned seat portion 103 positioned over base frame 101 to sit over seat, an imaging unit 104 installed on frame 101 and integrated with a processor to detect an attempt by user to stand from seat portion 103, a hydraulic actuator 105 positioned in between frame 101 and seat portion 103 to provide lift assistance, a motion detection sensor integrated within seat portion 103 to detect an attempt by user to sit, a hydraulic actuator 105 to retract to lower seat portion 103 to facilitate a smooth and controlled descent for seating, a moisture sensor integrated within backrest 102 to detect presence of moisture over user’ back, and a motorized air blower unit 106 installed over backrest 102 to direct cool air towards user's back.
