Abstract: POSTBIOTIC FEED SUPPLEMENT FOR POULTRY AND PROCESS OF PREPARATION The present subject matter provides a postbiotic poultry feed supplement and a process for making the feed supplement. The postbiotic feed supplement is added to any regular poultry feed /broiler feed. Postbiotic compounds contain variable amounts of SCFAs (mostly acetate, propionate and butyrate), microbial cell fragments, extracellular polysaccharides, cell lysates, teichoic acid, vitamins, etc., which are able to increase nutrient absorption in the gut and contribute to overall health of the poultry. The supplement replaces antibiotics, thereby eliminating the hazards caused by antibiotics in poultry as well as in humans. The supplement significantly improved gut health of poultry by reducing total viable and coliform bacterial counts while increasing the concentration of beneficial Lactobacillus.
