Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a doctor-centric mobile application system and method for perioperative patient risk assessment and clinical decision support using structured surveys and artificial intelligence. The system is designed exclusively for authorised medical practitioners, enabling secure doctor authentication and controlled access to patient records. Doctors can add, manage, and monitor patients and systematically enter clinical data through standardized survey modules, including patient demographics, medical history, preoperative assessment, postoperative evaluation, and planned anaesthesia details. Based on the collected survey inputs, the system automatically computes risk levels and quantitative scores, including total risk score and sectionwise scores, to evaluate postoperative pulmonary complication (PPC) risk. The application further generates evidence-based management guidance and anaesthesia recommendations tailored to the patient's assessed risk category, supporting informed clinical decision-making. The system architecture comprises an Android-based frontend developed in Java, a secure backend implemented using the Python and Django REST Framework, and a database for persistent patient and survey data storage. An integrated lightweight artificial intelligence module functions as a clinical assistant, allowing doctors to ask patient-specific questions and receive contextual responses generated using patient data retrieved from the database. This AI-driven componeht enhances clinical interpretation by providing clarifications, risk explanations, and management suggestions without replacing physician judgement.
