Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products provide positioning technique selection for ground truth generation associated with an artificial intelligence (AI) positioning estimation In an implementation, positioning technique information associated with an AI positioning functionality of an apparatus is determined, a positioning-related request for a user equipment is generated based on the positioning technique information, and transmission of the positioning-related request is caused to a network entity. In an implementation, the positioning-related request includes an indicator that the positioning-related request is requesting ground truth positioning-related information for the user equipment for use by the AI positioning functionality.
