MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617086300 A) filed by Dolby Laboratories Licensing Corporation on July 14, 2026, for Pose Correction Metadata For Interactive Headtracking.
Inventor includes Tyagi, Rishabh.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for encoding and decoding immersive audio content are disclosed. Some examples provide methods for encoding an input audio signal. An example method includes obtaining an input audio signal with immersive audio content, obtaining a first set of head poses, and rendering a first set of binaural signals. The method may also include obtaining a second set of head poses and rendering a second set of binaural signals. The method may include computing, in a first frequency range, a first reconstruction metadata to enable the reconstruction of both magnitude and phase of the second set of binaural signals and computing, in a second frequency range, a second reconstruction metadata to enable the reconstruction of the magnitude of the second set of binaural signals. The method may include encoding the first set of binaural signals, the first reconstruction metadata, and the second reconstruction metadata in a bitstream.
