The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: A portable wheel-stick system (100) for field detection and classification of environmental plastics is disclosed. The system (100) includes a wheel assembly (102), a dye sprayer (104), a UV excitation module (106), and a fluorescence sensing module (108). The wheel assembly (102) is configured to maintain ground contact and establish a reproducible detection footprint per meter traversed across a scanning area. The dye sprayer (104) is adapted to dispense a uniform, radial spray of a Nile- Red fluorescent dye solution over the scanning area as the wheel assembly rotates. The UV excitation module (106) is adapted to illuminate the scanning area treated with the dye solution after a predefined spatial and temporal delay from the radial spray. The fluorescence sensing module (108) is adapted to measure an emitted fluorescence intensity from the scanning area. The infrared (IR) spectroscopy module (110)is configured to capture polymer-specific spectral molecular signatures from the scanning area. FIG. 1A is the reference figure.
