MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611075777 A) filed by Gla University, Mathura on June 18, 2026, for Portable Wearable Dialysis System For Mobile Renal Replacement.
Inventor includes Aman Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable wearable dialysis system (100) for mobile renal replacement therapy. The system comprises a backpack housing (101), a miniaturized dialyzer unit (104), blood inlet tubing (105), blood outlet tubing (106), a blood pump assembly (107), a dialysate handling module (108), a dialysate reservoir (109), a regeneration cartridge (110), and a dialysate pump (112). An embedded control unit (119) receives operational data from sensor modules (113–118) for monitoring pressure, flow rate, leakage, clot formation, temperature, and air bubbles during dialysis treatment. A rechargeable battery pack (122) enables portable operation, while an alarm system (126) and emergency shutdown arrangement (127) improve safety. The invention provides compact, wearable, and ambulatory dialysis therapy with enhanced patient mobility and operational reliability.
