The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The 5G- Vaccines must be stored within a controlled temperature range, typically 2°C to 8°C, to maintain their effectiveness and safety. During travel or transportation to remote areas, maintaining this temperature becomes challenging due to the lack of proper refrigeration and monitoring systems. The Portable Vaccine Storage Ice Box for Travellers is designed as a compact and portable solution that ensures safe storage and transportation of vaccines. The system uses an insulated ice box with gel or ice packs to maintain the required temperature for a longer duration. A temperature sensor (DS18B20) continuously monitors the internal temperature and sends the data to a microcontroller such as ESP32. The temperature is displayed on an LCD screen and can also be monitored remotely through an loT-based mobile application. If the temperature goes outside the safe range, an alert system using a buzzer and LED indicator is activated, and a notification is sent to the mobile application. The device is powered by a rechargeable battery, making it suitable for travellers, healthcare workers, and vaccine transportation in rural or emergency situations. This system helps ensure proper temperature maintenance, reduces vaccine wastage, and improves the reliability of vaccine storage and distribution during travel.
