Addressing the inefficiencies of traditional open-air drying methods— often hindered by unpredictable weather and contamination—this eco-friendly solution offers a low-cost alternative, especially for regions with limited electricity access. Experimental results indicate that chillies require approximately 50-52 hours and tomatoes about 42-44 hours to achieve optimal dryness. Overall, this solar- powered dryer presents an innovative approach to minimizing post-harvest losses while enhancing the quality of dried agricultural products, making it a valuable asset for sustainable farming practices.
