Abstract: PORTABLE SOIL ANALYSIS SYSTEM INTEGRATING MICROBIAL COMMUNITY PREDICTION AND DIRECTED BIOMARKER CONFIRMATION A portable soil microbial intelligence system and method are disclosed for functional microbial community identification and soil health advisory generation without laboratory analysis. A physical sensing layer (200) measures differential impedance, pH, moisture, and temperature and generates a feature vector (201) supplied to an AI prediction engine, which classifies the soil into a functional microbial community type with a confidence score (202). A directed biomarker confirmation layer uses the prediction to select and activate a single corresponding biomarker assay, generating a normalised biomarker concentration (203). A conflict-aware fusion layer computes a Soil Microbial Health Index from the confidence score and biomarker concentration (204) using dynamically weighted, non-fixed coefficients, and classifies the soil as Healthy (111), Suppressed (112), or Emerging (113), resolving disagreement between the predictive and confirmatory signals into a meaningful diagnostic state rather than discarding it as error. A farmer advisory output layer (205) delivers a state-specific recommendation to a mobile application in a local language. The invention enables functional community identification, prediction-directed biological confirmation, conflict-aware diagnosis, and real-time, expert-free advisory generation for precision soil management.
