MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611054737 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on April 29, 2026, for Portable Real-Time Daq System And Method For Rs422-Based Accelerometers.
Inventors include Mustafa, Samim; and Srivastava, Abhishek Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a portable real-time structural data acquisition (DAQ) system (100) and method (200) integrating hardware and software for continuous monitoring of structural acceleration and vibration. The system (100) acquires signals from RS422-based multiaxial accelerometers, converts them into structured digital data, parses and processes the data in real time, and generates acceleration time-history plots and vibration characteristics for immediate visualization. It supports multi-channel synchronization, configurable sensor parameters, remote monitoring, and predictive structural health analysis. A portable power module (112), including a rechargeable battery and optionally a solar power source, enables autonomous field deployment without reliance on fixed infrastructure. The system (100) provides a flexible, scalable, and field-ready solution for real-time structural monitoring, analysis, and decision-making.
