MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611063397 A) filed by Eatsafely Private Limited on May 19, 2026, for Portable Multi-Parameter Food Safety Diagnostic Apparatus Using Interoperable Substrate-Based Assay Strips.

Inventors include Chetan Sharma; Chetan Jain; and Pranjit Sarma.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: An integrated portable multi-parameter food safety diagnostic apparatus (100) and method (200) for rapid field-level detection of heterogeneous food hazards are disclosed. The apparatus (100) comprises a kit module (110) configured to receive a plurality of interoperable substrate-based assay strips (120) containing chemically or biochemically reactive agents configured to generate visible reaction responses upon interaction with target analytes if present in the food. The apparatus (100) further comprises a centralized interpretation module (130) configured to capture, process, analyse, and interpret visible reaction outputs generated by the plurality of substrate-based assay strips (120) to generate a consolidated food safety assessment and cross-parameter contamination profiling. The method (200) comprises strip selection, strip insertion, food sample preparation and application, visible reaction generation, synchronized assay interpretation, and comparison with a reference indication for determining food safety status.
