Abstract: ABSTRACT Portable IoT-Enabled Electrical Impedance System for Real-Time Microplastic Detection The present invention relates to a portable IoT-enabled electrical impedance-based system (100) for detecting microplastic contamination in water samples. The system (100) comprises a water sample chamber (101) having electrodes (102) coupled to an AD5933 impedance converter (103), which acquires an electrical impedance response of a water sample. An microcontroller (104) processes the impedance response and determines a contamination indication according to predetermined detection logic. A pH sensor (108) additionally acquires pH information from the water sample. The processed impedance and pH information may be locally displayed through a 16×2 LCD display (107) and transmitted through a Wi-Fi module (105) to a cloud platform (106) for remote monitoring. A 5V DC power supply (109) powers the system. In an enhanced embodiment, multi-frequency impedance responses are compared with a reference baseline to generate a contamination-indication parameter. The system provides portable, automated and IoT- enabled water-quality monitoring suitable for field deployment. Figure-1
