Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable EEG device designed for continuous mental health monitoring, which integrates a plurality of electrodes configured for placement on a user's scalp to capture brainwave patterns indicative of mental states. The device features a signal processing unit that amplifies and filters raw EEG signals, converting them into digital form. A low-power microcontroller, equipped with edge computing capabilities, manages data processing and communication tasks, providing immediate feedback to users while enhancing privacy by minimizing data transmission. The communication module transmits processed data to external devices like smartphones or computers. The device is powered by a rechargeable battery within a power management system that optimizes energy use, supplemented by an energy-harvesting mechanism, such as solar cells or kinetic energy converters, to extend operational life. There is provided a user interface integrated with a smartphone application visualizes mental health data, offering real-time biofeedback and interventions.
