MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611092208 A) filed by Priyanka Kumari on July 29, 2026, for Portable Dual-Mode Thermal Therapy Device.

Inventor includes Priyanka Kumari.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The portable dual-mode thermal therapy device comprises a body (102) featuring a handle portion (102A) and a perpendicular barrel portion (102B). The handle portion (102A) houses a direct-current battery pack regulated by a protection circuit board. The barrel portion (102B) terminates in a proximal second therapy tip (106) for cooling therapy and a distal first therapy tip (104) for heating therapy. Internally, a first thermoelectric module (108) is connected to the second therapy tip (106) and a fan-flanked first heat sink (120), while a separate, thermally isolated second thermoelectric module (110) is connected to the first therapy tip (104). A three-position switch routes current to a cooling terminal, an open-circuit terminal, or a heating terminal. A first DC-DC buck converter drives the cooling module and the fan. A second DC-DC buck converter (118) drives the heating module via a safety branch comprising a relay switch and a thermal cutoff switch in contact with the first tip to disrupt power during an over-temperature state.
