Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a pipeline cleaning attachment that can be used to remove debris, salts, slag, scale, and other obstructions that have built up within an existing pipeline without any changes or damage to the pipeline. The attachment is designed to be temporarily installed at an existing, easily accessible pipeline connection point in place of a dummy, tap, or removable pipe connection. The attachment includes an air inlet passage with an integrated one-way valve to provide pressurized air from an external air source. Once attached to the pipeline, pressurized air is added, pressurizing the water inside and raising the hydraulic pressure. The increase in water pressure produces a flow that carries away deposits that have built up in the pipeline and moves them to a vent, outlet, or other available opening in the pipeline. Once the parts are cleaned, the pressurized air supply is disconnected, and the temporary attachment can be removed and replaced with the original dummy, tap, or connection. Accordingly, the invention is a simple, reusable, and non-invasive pipeline-cleaning arrangement that leverages existing pipeline connection points and can clean pipelines without cutting, drilling, dismantling, or permanently altering them.
