Abstract: A portable device for water purification with natural media, comprises of a housing 101 configured with an inlet port assembly 102 for enabling water intake, a water storage tank 105 to receive the water from the inlet port assembly 102, a sensor suite to measure physical, chemical and biological parameters of the water in real-time, a touch screen panel 201 to enable user selection of filtration modes and display the computed water quality, a multi-stage cascading filtration assembly to purify water based on user input and computed water quality, a disinfection layer 110 configured for pathogen elimination from the purified water, a purified water reservoir 111 to receive purified water from the disinfection layer 110, an additive injection module to inject a metered volume of an additive into the filtered water, and a dispensing unit to dispense the mineral enhanced water from the housing 101.
