The method comprises receiving, by a processor (108) of the display device (106), a connection request from the portable device (102), for communicably coupling with the display device (106) and receiving content associated with at least one application (116a) of a set of applications (116) installed on the portable device (102), for projection on the display device (106). Further, the method comprises determining audio data stream and visual data stream of the content to be projected from the portable device (102) on the display device (106) and projecting the content on the display device (106) and a wearable device (112), wherein at least one of the visual data stream and the audio data stream being routed to one of the display device (106) and the wearable device (112).
